Hi all!

The Debian TeX Maintainer Team has uploaded the first set of packages of
TeX Live 2007 to Debian/experimental, and at the same time they are
available from the www.tug.org server.

We ask people using Debian to try these packages out, they survived all
my tests and quite a lot of documents I tried out, but YMMV.

After Etch is released these (or follow-up packages will go into
Debian/unstable and later testing).

Ok, here are the directions, ie /etc/apt/sources stanzas

For TeX Live:
       deb http://www.tug.org/texlive/Debian/ tl2007/
       deb-src http://www.tug.org/texlive/Debian/ tl2007/

Some stuff has been factored out of TeX Live as it is already present in
the Debian archive, here are further stanzas which might help:

For lmodern 1.01:
       deb http://www.tug.org/texlive/Debian/ lmodern/
       deb-src http://www.tug.org/texlive/Debian/ lmodern/

For latest ConTeXt (ATM 2007.03.19-1):
       deb http://www.tug.org/texlive/Debian/ context/
       deb-src http://www.tug.org/texlive/Debian/ context/

For luatex snapshots:
       deb http://www.tug.org/texlive/Debian/ luatex/
       deb-src http://www.tug.org/texlive/Debian/ luatex/

All these packages are uploaded to experimental, but some packages have
to go through the new queue, as they contain new binary packages
(texlive-xetex, -humanities, -science).

debian的TeX和OpenOffice小组一直都跟进很迅速，让人钦佩
experimental里的2.2.0~rc2-1 也有段时间了

另外，这两天由Ian Murdock的言论在debian-user的列表引发的论战("I do consider Ubuntu to be Debian" , Ian Murdock)也很精彩，很长的

TexLive和Kde在包关系上有冲突。etch版本看来是没有办法将这两大模块融合了。看看下个版本kde能否不再依赖老的Tex包了。

详细说说，什么冲突呀？我装了但是这段时间还没有机会用。kde什么模块依赖tex包呀？

experimental 中的包还不全，加上镜像的差异，还得再等等，要么直接加tug的源

字体的问题比较简单，就是时间长些，打包的话，要麻烦些
