Well, if you use the debian-multimedia repository you'll see this:

~$ apt-cache policy mplayer
mplayer:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 1:1.0-pre8cvs20061002-0.0
  Version table:
   1:1.0-pre8cvs20061002-0.0 0
      500 http://www.debian-multimedia.org sid/main Packages
   1.0~rc1~svn20199-1 0
      500 http://ftp.ie.debian.org sid/main Packages

So Marillat wins the version numbers game at least. Most of will
probably continue to use debian-multimedia anyway for the additional
codecs. Another bonus is that Marillat offers the mplayer-nogui package.

一发现就安装了，可以还不能用，可能是skin还没有吧，还有很多dll文件没有
不过可以用mplayer命令行播MP3，其他的没试
愿早日完善

/usr/share/mplayer/scripts/win32codecs.sh 说是可以安装win32codecs，但似乎工作不正常，脚本不是很长，粗看下没啥大问题
mplayer-skin只是在推荐包里，还没有具体的包
vo的模块似乎不够，gl、gl2的没有，合用的也就xv和directfb了
但进入官方pool后，以mplayer对debian的打包青睐度而言，后继的升级应该能很快解决这些的
我svn的mplayer源码更新到20476后已有近90兆了，能用官方的还是会省不少事
