Question about locales setting

Dear All,
For convenience, I set default locale to en-US when installing package "locales". Now I want to change the default locale setting to zh-CN, so I execute "dpkg-reconfigure locales" and set the default locale setting to zh-CN-UTF-8. However, when I use command "locale" after logging off and re-logging in, the default locale setting is still en-US and I can't execute xcin now under X-window. Is there anyone who had met the similar condition before ?

如果实用GDM登录X的话，在登录界面设置语言就好了。

那么如果不用xwindow只在控制台里面呢？应该怎么办？是我设置的方法不对还是怎么回事？

如果实在没辙可以在~/.bashrc中用export指令强制指定locale凑合一下。

用startx的吧。底下是我的.xsession

看看你的 /etc/environment ?

		自动登录	找回密码
密码			注册
