help!!!can't enter the x desktop

i can't enter the x desktop after i input the correct logname and password .
but when i change to command console(text terminal),i can enter x by "startx"

how can i do?

even on last night,it's right.i just tried to install a customized editor other than vi  for python.
steps as follows:
apt-get install libwxgtk2.4-Python.   successfully installed and
installed Pythoncard (the editor)       not installed sucessfully
Today i  faced the problem
i remove the libwxgtk2.4-Python,but it dosn't help

and i can just input Chinese on the default X desktop,and only can the normal user
