a question about mdk10official chinese simsun font.

I have been using mdk for some months,and I used simsun to display chinese charactor,my hd charset is utf8,I found It  faild to display some chinese traditional char.What's the problem, the font it self or fonts.dir,or some thing else?By the way ,It works proberly before, when I use the system default font.

try change locale to zh_CN.GB18030

I try to change it in gb2312,then it works perfectly.By the way,what are the differences among these chinese codeset.
