questions before installing slack10

sorry, I can't input Chinese ,I am using knoppix
I am going to install slack 10 on my laptop.

1,slack10 is using x.org? Is the configuration the same?
2,is it suitable for laptop?(acpi works)

or anyone installed it on laptop,

1. Yes. Slack uses x.org. The configuration is the same.
It is basically XFree 4.3.x with some fix I think.

2. I installed on my laptop OK. ACPI support is a kernel
thing and Slackware is no different in this matter.
However, if you want advanced function such as
standby or software suspend, it is going to be hard.
