能否通过编译内核来获得对nvidia驱动支持

我的geforce2 gts显卡，10.0 download版不支持，nvidia网站上的驱动也不适用，请问我能不能通过自己编译内核来获得支持。谢谢！

不能通过编译内核来支持某种显卡，必须有相应的驱动程序。不过很多朋友都使用NV主页上的驱动程序安装成功了，你安装的时候提示什么错误信息？

修改inittab文件，重启，进入运行级三，运行显卡驱动安装程序(5336)，提示不适用我的内核，然后问是否要从nvidia ftp上下载，选择是，提示没有

XFree不需要nvidia的官方驱动也可以跑吧，不过没用opengl。
