如果决定不使用闭源驱动的话，应该是买A卡还是买N卡？

我打算下次买显卡时买ATI的，就算是尝试一下吧。

真好笑，什么叫不如，性能还是要比集成的好。CUDA要着干嘛，3D加速没有怎么驱动游戏的，opencl是需要靠mesa实现的，并不是驱动做的不好，放心绝对会有的。vdpau是nvidia私有的东西怎么可能有

没有成立的。

事实就是:我的9800GT用nouveau速度明显不如我的945GM,Radeon用在780G集成的HD3200上也明显不如945GM,至于AMD的高端卡,我没有,不好说.
CUDA linux下暂时没用.win下用来转码还是不错的,opencl现在开源的Gallium3D貌似要提供支持不过进度实在太慢.等它有了估计卡也该淘汰了.vdpau也是闭源驱动很实用的一项功能.还有就是开源的支持进度实在太慢,HD5870都出来半年多了,开源驱动还只是提供基本的显示支持.估计6系列出来5系列3D加速都没戏

再有就是显卡的自动降频还是很重要的,前阵子有个兄弟笔记本用开源驱动老花屏,就是温度太高.换闭源就好了。

可以看看偶得签名，我是3卡都有，
INTEL 945GM
AMD HD3200
Nvidia 9800GT
结论就是intel的开源驱动很好
nvidia的闭源驱动很好……
AMD的开源闭源驱动都很悲剧。
JS你X700开源驱动支持的早，闭源驱动也不支持了，所以不知道R600/R700以及以后的R800用户有多纠结

nv的闭源驱动质量确实还是不错的

看到开源驱动也在一点点改进

不过我目前首选还是n卡加闭源驱动

本人目前正在使用hd3200集显。开源驱动。

mesa、libdrm、xf86-video-ati、xorg-server皆为最新版本。

内核是2.6.33.

使用radeon。

compiz特效3Ｄ非常流畅。视频播放mplayer使用xv作为vo。高清正常。

不玩游戏。没有用过你所说的945ＧＭ。

能否请你告诉我HD3200跟945GM相比之下有什么“明显”不如的地方？？？

P.S.首先我不是一个gamer.所以谈论的问题可以抛开两者的游戏性能，更何况，要游戏性能也不可能选这两张卡。

我周围最多的就是690G和780G的主板，nVidia 8000系列的只有一个幸存。

你可以去看看Gallium状态页面，radeon卡支持可绝对不比intel的差，相反支持的比较较好，intel的基本不能使用这个东西。intel支持的特别好的也就915/945。开启了还不支持宽屏。gallium就是为了简化开源驱动开发难度的。

开源驱动自动降频没有，但是调整还是可以的，rovclock。如果说遇到温度过高花屏，那不是自动降频的问题，应该是风扇的问题。如果不自动降频显卡难道不能工作吗。。。ATI的显卡一向功耗控制得比较好

新的显卡出来支持速度linux上一向都比较慢，难道以前8400刚刚出来马上就得到支持？不知道现在的GTX480是否已经支持了呢？对开源社区的驱动要求也太高了吧，ATI这么多显卡。要说8000,9000,gt200不都是一样的东西吗，驱动开发复杂吗

CUDA,vdpau都是私有的，来对比开源驱动不觉得很过分吗？opencl不就是取代CUDA的嘛？

我的x700mobility并不是很早就支持了，ATI宣布开放驱动文档前支持一直都不好，至少9.3出来前我一直都只能使用catalyst。性能方面，很大程度上因为intel有UXA和GEM，虽然这个东西也不咋地，而且开源驱动刚刚切换到KMS模式，如果使用UMS模式，开源驱动的glxgears分数我这里至少可以提高1/3多。intel在刚刚切换到KMS的时候那时候性能可真不怎么样。可以翻翻以前的帖子。现在已经和ums的时候差不多了。而radeon的性能也在增长，我保留了各个时期的glxgears得分数，只是一直没有整理，以前没有记录mesa和内核版本

楼上，ati开源驱动这么低的fps玩nexuiz流畅吗？

近期看好的一个本子，是ati显卡的，就是怕这个，如果没问题那就入手了，不过ati的闭源驱动我不想碰

低了肯定不行，但是我没有试过这个游戏，不知道需要多高的opengl性能

如果要玩游戏最好还是闭源驱动，因为opengl性能比较好。nv的卡可以考虑。开源驱动不知道是否满足游戏要求

nexuiz 使用 quake3 引擎，对显卡性能要求不高，好事者请查 quake3 发行时间。

兄弟们，不要吵起来啊，每个人的显卡型号不一样，所以感觉上可能会有些差异的，

我还是打算下次买A卡，就算是尝试一下吧，N卡的闭源驱动是不错，但是我还是喜欢比较开放的硬件。
