fcitx无法输入中文

在这里面再加两行试试，把LC_CTYPE和LC_ALL都加成zh_CN.gbk，或者再用zh_CN.GBK，我在redhat 8上没有费这么大事啊，我想可能还有别的原因。
你以前装过gWuBi么?能不能使用呢？还有，你的系统是怎样的？你在什么桌面下，还有，你的fcitx是自动运行的，还是手动开的？你是用什么方式登陆的？是用图形的，还是用startx这样的？我想可能这里有些问题。

Again, it is not happy after I add these two lines.
In fact, I copy people's i18n from another thread,
which is a little bit longer, and also doesn't work.
The only difference is that one starts when I login.

This is the firs time I install Chinese Input Application. I use GUI interface,not command line.
Today I just finished "Han Hua" ,which looks reasonable ok, although a lot need to fix, like xmms,mplayer.

I start fcitx manually by typing:
fcitx (&)

Thank you tram, could you tell me that if I want to
uninstall ebf, does the following enough:

1) rm -rf /usr/share/fcitx
2) rm /usr/bin/fcitx
3) rm /usr/bin/gWuBi
4) rm -rf  /usr/bin/.gWuBi
5) restore .bashrc
6) restore /etc/sysconf/i18n

没错，这样就能把文件删完了，第四个不对，应该是~/.gWuBi，也就是你用户目录下的.gWuBi隐藏目录。不好意思，我想可能是哪一步我还没考虑到。因为我对图形方式的login还不是很了解，用得不多，所以可能这方面会有问题。

没错，这样就能把文件删完了，第四个不对，应该是~/.gWuBi，也就是你用户目录下的.gWuBi隐藏目录。不好意思，我想可能是哪一步我还没考虑到。因为我对图形方式的login还不是很了解，用得不多，所以可能这方面会有问题。

cd /usr/bin
ln -s fcitx chinput
重新启动X试试

我原来什么输入法都没装过，应该不是这个问题。
当然后来就试过装minichinput，但是启动以后
系统就hang住了，什么都没响应，没法用。

Hi,lyndon! Sorry for late reply.

Today I tried miniChinput, it told me  Segematation
fault.

I am thinking my problem might be , the default language setting. When I install redhat8.0, I
just choose one language US English, so the
system default language is English, not Chinese ,and
even worse, can't switch to Chinese.

I am trying to find  a way to add another system language,of course Chinese, but I don't know how
to do it. Redhat seems to be indicating there is
no way to add another after install,which is painful,
means I have to re-install  the whole system to get Chinese support.

If anybody here could help, I would be really
appreciated.

所谓的缺省语言，在控制台下都是一样的，只是在Xwindow下有区别。你可以把光盘里中文的字体装上(也可以自己装simsun)，再把KDE-i18n的那个中文的包装上，然后把/etc/sysconfig/i18n里的locale设置改改就行了。改成zh_CN.GB18030或zh_CN.GBK都可以。装字体的方法，有很多帖子的，推荐北南大哥在redhat版置顶的那篇。
