同事一台IBM的PIII800的本本想4000元转让给俺。划不划算啊？
我准备用它来装LFS, 196MB内存，但硬盘是那种3200rm的20G。

Today I downloaded another ditribution: Knoppix. It's still a live cd linux.

After used it, I oved it.

reason:

no setup step, directly use it after you burn it on a CD.

based on Debian Linux.

can play mp3, avi, and etc.

has office tools

has develop tools

....................

I can't tell you all. :-)

maybe our linuxsir can create a new panel to talk about these kinds of Linux:

Live CD好像就是knoppix做出名堂来的，的确很方便。

再次回到微软的环境，再次得到更好的中文支持。这使我有疑问，

我们是不是也可以做出更加方便易用的中文环境，虽然我们也可以

在Linux下，看中文，写汉字，但从客观上说，这方面比微软是有

差距的。。。。。

是的，Knoppix是做出来的。

Live Linux还是值得一用的，假如我们只是想看看Linux是个

什么样子，没有硬盘空间装Linux，那么刻录一张Live Linux

的cd，从光驱启动，你便可以使用真正的Linux了，而不是在

windows下模拟什么Linux环境。

我们可以学习使用Linux，可以开发，可以用办公软件，而不需要

任何安装。

再有，目前有很多的live Linux，他们的应用环境各不相同。

我觉得斑竹可以考虑加一个Live Linux讨论区。

有几个Live Linux还提供象LFS一样的文档，是任何人都可以

制作自己定制的Live Linux。

咱们也DIY一把Live Linux。

live CD方便是方便，不过还是慢。和硬盘上的系统没法比。我现在都是当启动盘用。

对，这是他的弱点之一，可能还有其他的。

但是它毕竟是发行版的一种重要形式，他也有很多

优势。

就像LFS一样，没有几个人是真正要用它，而是把它

作为学习的一条途径而已。
