In the past, many people ask the same question: "Which distribution should I use if I attempt to install a web/ftp/file server etc?"

I would say, it does not matter.  You should install the one that you are most familiar with, or the one that you can obtain the most resources, either from books, your friends, your colleagues, paid technical services, forums or anything else from the internet.  In such case, whenever you encounter problems, you may obtain advices to fix it quickly.  That's very important.  Remember, downtime for any production servers may suffer great penalties.
