Quicktime is right. As you might have noticed, redhat, suse and mandrake use differnent naming system of rpm. That's what causes the problems. So I discourage you to install third party softwares without proper adaption.

在网上下载的大部分rpm和tar文件都不能安装,不知道是不是人品问题 -_-||

那是因为你胡乱的从一些网站上下载RPM，自然是没有办法使用的。你需要从Mandrakelinux的官方各镜像中下载，才是有保证的。

不过有时候需要用新的或者另类一点的RPM包，自己下载改写一下spec文件后编译使用也未尝不可，只要弄清它的依赖关系就可以拉。比如我用的xmms-1.2.10就是自己从xmms-1.2.10-wellxp的tar.gz包自己做的，感觉比原来自带的xmms好多了。而且有些选项可以自己控制。
