求助:在vmware中安装FreeBSD后,无法启动xwindows!

我用的是windows2000操作系统,用的是vmware4.0版本,安装FreeBSD5.1后,用xf86config配置后 也不成功,安装vmware-tools后,系统还是提示“you do not install vmware  tools”,在vmware的网站的论坛里 有人成功安装过FreeBSD5.2,上面的解释也不具体。
命令 startx 后,出现的界面我给截了下来,不知道那位高手知道该如何解决!

显卡有没有设成vmware?

可能显示器设置错误!  重设置一次!

##注意,vmware不能用24位色,否则会不动启动!
然后在~/ 建.xinitrc文件内容如下:

startkde

当你用startx来启动的时候就自动进入kde了

这两项就行了,其他的注掉,不要用,同样,真实的环境配X如果不能启动可以同样把其他的选项注掉,就可以了,

此方法在freebsd和很多的linux上同样可以,如gentoo,lfs 上同样适用

(以下是我的实践和几天的吐血经验!)
我还建议版主将这一贴子放在freebsd首页,我在其它论坛及本论坛苦苦查询了几天,有无数介绍vmware下安装freebsd5.1的贴子,但是不是建议不装Xwindows就是将vmware网站上vmtools的安装方法翻译一篇,根本没有实践!
根据这篇贴子加自已在两台不同的机子上安装的经验将其补充几点!
1.vmtools必须按照vmware网站上的指导安装!
2.针对这个配置文件,ztaif是在/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config下修改而成,但是我的计算机是在/etc/X11/XF86Config下修改而成的,我将修改好的配置文件在两个目录下都放,这样保险点!
3.关于在“screen0”加入DefaultcolorDepth=16这一行我的两台机子表现不同:一台是主板自带显卡的,没有通过,意为这个设置高了,我改为8后可以通过Xwindows,另一台装有geforce mx100/200显卡,也没有通过,意为这个设置低了,我改为24后可以通过Xwindows!可见有些仁兄说和host无关是有些问题的!

晕,在你的.xinitrc和.xsession文件

里面写上exec startkde
