有人成功配置过VMware4.0下的shared folders吗？

根据Help，作如下设置：
To create a shared folder:

Open a virtual machine and click its tab to make it the active virtual machine.
Select Edit > Virtual Machine Settings > Options and click Shared folders.
Click Add to add one or more folders to the list.
A wizard guides you through the process. Enter the required information, then click OK.

但在/mnt下面看不到任何东西。

Help里也说：
Note: To use shared folders, you must have the current version of VMware Tools installed in the guest operating system.

我明明已经安装好了，但在VMware的状态栏中还是提示:You do not have VMware tools installed.

测试环境：winXP+VMware4.0.0+FreeBSD 5.1  release

你要做什么呢？

如果只是传传文件，我认为还是用cuteftp比较方便（用ssh）。

如果能够设置共享目录的话，应该是最方便的途径。无需专用软件，比较快捷。就像网上邻居一样地使用。

而SSH登录更适合远程吧。当然本地也是可以的。

其实我已经配置好了SAMBA，可以互传文件了，但还是想试试shared folders.

希望版主或有相关经验的人想想办法。

我在guest系统：win98下也试过了，也看不到任何东西。
