SCIM for Redhat8.0的安装与使用

就是第一贴讲到的那些包。
我的现在在openoffice里可用ctrl+space调出来，但汉字打在文本里是空白的？
运行scim，显示error:can not open display
gtk error

Hi, pve,anne, I got same problem, did you solve it ?

This is the nth time I am trying Chinese Input, and
seems everything is fine, but just doesn't work,when
I type scim , same message comes up, then just sits
there .....

Is that again because My default language support
is English and English Only ?

It seems I really hve to re-install the whole system and
make it Chinese support .

frustrating....
