如何设置不需要用户名和密码的ADSL？

我的ADSL不需要用户名和密码，只是在刚刚申请的时候注册一下机器的物理地址，每次开机的时候就像Cable一样，自动连接。但是我的ADSL并不是静态的IP，而是每次开机都会给一个动态IP，请问这种情况如何设置？仍然使用ppp？还是有其他的软件或者方法？

ADSL router ? modem? which brand? normally ADSL is always dynamic IP.
ADSL use PPP over Ethernet, so called pppoe, if you have a router, you have nothing to do (like me), if you have a modem, please check out the handbook for pppoe section.

sorry, if you have a "cable" like connection, you don't need anything, just give it an IP through a config interface (reference to manuel), and configure it as default gateway for other PCs in your LAN.

When i install SCO Open Server 5.06, i got the same problem! Are you sure you are on right way?
