why I fail to install gaim

I tried to install QQ for gaim 0.64 following "在Linux下两种方法完整运行最新的QQ和MSN"
http://www.linuxsir.cn/postnuke/ ... order=0&thold=0

However,when I finished step 2 and run gaim, it returned the error outputs:

Gaim has segfaulted and attempted to dump a core file.
This is a bug in the software and has happened through
no fault of your own.

It is possible that this bug is already fixed in CVS.

I find the statement below in gaim's FAQ

Our GTK2 port is now complete, the 0.59.x release series uses only GTK1.2, and it is also entirely devoid of new features. 0.60 is the first release with GTK2 support. 0.60 and all future Gaim versions will no longer support GTK1.2. With the release of 0.60, the gtk1-stable tree that the 0.59.x releases were from has been discontinued. If you want anything new in that tree, you will have to maintain it yourself.
