xmms安装失败,请问如何解决

我在安装xmms时失败了,按INSTALL的要求我下载了glib,glib是最新版的,
安装完以后,在xmms目录下运行./configure提示没有安装glib-1.2-2  于是我又下了glib-1.2.2,安装完后,在xmms目录下运行./configure提示如下错误:

应该安装开发包，可能文件名是glib-1.2.2-dev

我安装的glib-1.2.2就是开发包吧.我看他的文档说要gtk/glib 1.2.2
我就到官方网站上下了glib-1.2.2
可是不是提示上面的信息.
