求助：FC1下Gnome桌面root账号登录时无法启动屏保，如何解决？

FC1下用root登录后，选择“首选项->屏幕保护程序”。
    会弹出“XScreenSaver”的提示框：“Warning:The XScreenSaver daemon doesn't seem to be running on display ":0.0".  Launch it now?”下面是“取消”及“确定”按钮。
    点“确定”以后又弹出一个“XScreenSaver”提示窗口，内容为：“Error：The xscreensaver daemon did not start up properly.You are running as root.  This usually means that xscreensaver was unable to contact your X server because access control is turned on.  Try running this command:xhost +localhost and then selecting `File / Restart Daemon'. Note that turning off access control will allow anyone logged on to this machine to access your screen, which might be considered a security problem.  Please read the xscreensaver manual and FAQ for more information.You shouldn't run X as root. Instead, you should log in as a normal user, and `su' as necessary.”
    然后如果不动电脑，一会儿就死机了。

    使用别的桌面或使用其它账号好像没问题。

    请问这是什么原因，如果解决？
