关于sources.list

根据一篇sources.list写法中提到的，我找到debian.cn99.com中包含dists和pool这两个目录的那个目录debian,  又打开了dists目录，列表如下：

我不明白的是，为什么有woody/sarge/sid命名方式，同进还有statble/testing/unstable命名？他们不是同一种版本的两种叫法吗？也许我一开始就混淆概念了。
如果我打算安装testing版本的系统，是不是只要
deb http://debian.cn99.com/debian testing main contrib non-free
就可以了？应该有下面这种写法，但我需要加上吗？
deb http://debian.cn99.com/debian sarge main contrib non-free

看文章中说 testing  里头软件是三种版本之中最少的，这句话正确吗？如果这样，是不是要加上statble的源以满足正常需求，但这样两版本混用系统不会出问题吧？

According to Debian developers, the Etch (testing) toolchain is now built with gcc-4.1.1, which is different from the toolchain in Sarge (built with gcc-3.3.x).  The ABIs are not the same and are not fully compatible.  Therefore, mixing sources may have chances to cause unexpected problems.

今天用testing源执行apt-get install vim都提示有问题，晕了！
