Why all the locales are set to "POSIX"?

Debian, linux-image-2.6.15-1-686, gnome2.14, my locales are en_US.UTF-8.
Today I update the base system to linux-image-2.6.16-1-686, but now all the locales are set to POSIX:

And I can't use fcitx now. Why all the locales are set to POSIX?

And if I don't start X, the locales remain en_US.UTF-8. Why starting X will change the locales to POSIX?

dpkg-reconfigure locales
如果不行，检查
~/.bashrc
~/.bash_profile

All locales I have installed are:
en_US.UTF-8
zh_CN.GB2312
zh_CN.GBK
zh_CN.GB18030
zh_CN.UTF-8
And the default locale is en_US.UTF-8.
.bashrc and .bash_profile do not set locales.

好了，原来是GDM把我的启动默认语言改了。

终于可以说中文了。。。
