FreeBSD 4.9 RC4 for i386, alpha 开始下载！！！

FreeBSD Release Engineering Team's Murray Stokely says that a number of the issues brought up with FreeBSD 4.9 RC2 have been resolved, and the latest release candidate (RC3) is now available for i386. Murray says that they are especially interested in hearing reports from users using IPFW2 after recent fixes. Wilko Bulte has also announced the availabilty of RC3 on the alpha platform.

We are especially interested in hearing reports from users using IPFW2

test IPFW2 in any substantial way. The firewire module loading issue
has been resolved, but the SATA issue has not. John Baldwin has a
patch posted at http://people.freebsd.org/~jhb/patches/sata.patch

看看这样能否解决：

#cd /usr/ports/x11/gnomepanel
#make extract
#cd /work/gnome-panel-2.4.0/po
#vi zh_CN.po

将里面类似%-m %-H %-I什么的全改为%m %H %I  
然后在在当前目录下，
msgfmt -v -o zh_CN.mo ./zh_CN.po
将生成的zh_CN.mo拷到/usr/X11R6/share/locale/zh_CN/LC_MESSAGES/中，覆盖原来的gnome-panel-2.0.mo
退出gnome后再startx就可以了，不过好像还是说程序没有安装。就凑和了。
