How to get sound in LFS?

I can never get sound in my LFS.
It is said that "It can't find /dev/dsp device".
But I have already compiled my soundcard driver module.

Anybody help me?

装alsa驱动了？
编译alsa驱动时使用的编译器，和编译内核时使用的编译器是同一个版本？？

Were you compiling OSS drivers into the kernel and not as module? ALSA would not likely to work if you have any OSS module loaded other than soundcore.o.

Yes, I compiled OSS drivers into the kernel and it worked well in Mandrake & Debian. Is ALSA need?

Of course not :cool: if you are happy with OSS. Just make sure you load the appropriate modules (if any) and set your volume to a hearable level. You probably want to remove all the ALSA modules from boot time too, when using an OSS driver.
