我的系统为什么这么慢

在笔记本上装的ubuntu6.06感觉特别满,配置是amd sempron 3100+(1.8Ghz)
内存:512m  显卡是集成的ati xpress 200  硬盘:TOSHIBA MK4025GAS
装了fglrx的驱动用fglrxinfo 看驱动已经运行了
把桌面风格调到最简单了,可无论是拖动还是,最小话都会出现一串窗口.
还有启动程序的时候特别满,平均都在十秒以上才能打开.

有人说是硬盘的DMA没开可我已经开了,
multcount    = 16 (on)
IO_support   =  3 (32-bit w/sync)
unmaskirq    =  0 (off)
using_dma    =  1 (on)
keepsettings =  0 (off)
readonly     =  0 (off)
readahead    = 256 (on)
geometry     = 65535/16/63, sectors = 78140160, start = 0
这是hdparm -tT的数据(不知为什么很底)
Timing cached reads:   180 MB in  2.02 seconds =  89.21 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads:   44 MB in  3.09 seconds =  14.22 MB/sec

还有fgl_glxgears的数据
352 frames in 5.0 seconds = 70.400 FPS
416 frames in 5.0 seconds = 83.200 FPS
407 frames in 5.0 seconds = 81.400 FPS
416 frames in 5.0 seconds = 83.200 FPS
414 frames in 5.0 seconds = 82.800 FPS
421 frames in 5.0 seconds = 84.200 FPS
410 frames in 5.0 seconds = 82.000 FPS
412 frames in 5.0 seconds = 82.400 FPS
416 frames in 5.0 seconds = 83.200 FPS
420 frames in 5.0 seconds = 84.000 FPS
412 frames in 5.0 seconds = 82.400 FPS

高手帮忙分析一下以我的配置这些数据正常么?我的系统为什么这么慢呀.

IO_support 要 1, 不是 3 ( e.g. sudo hdparm -c1  /dev/hda)
readahead 要大一點 (e.g. sudo hdparm -a4096 /dev/hda)

另 display card driver 未裝好, 我的 i915gm 都過千 FPS, 70-90 FPS 太慢了

你的 fglrxinfo 信息是什么？
从数据来看，你的硬盘 cached reads 够慢的，比较一下我的：
/dev/hda:
Timing cached reads:   1592 MB in  2.00 seconds = 795.95 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads:   68 MB in  3.04 seconds =  22.34 MB/sec

没做过优化，就默认的。

我的 SATA 40GB 硬碟: sudo hdparm -tT /dev/sda

/dev/sda:
Timing cached reads:   2604 MB in  2.00 seconds = 1301.92 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads:   96 MB in  3.05 seconds =  31.49 MB/sec

好羡慕呀为什么我的就这么慢,我的fglrxinfo 信息

我是按照官方wiki做的驱动也是源里的

sata 牛啊！差距是相当明显。
我的机子也只能支持并口的了，贪便宜弄了个 5400/100G。
关掉 firefox，关掉变频，使出吃奶劲顶到 900 多。

还是台式机的硬盘舒服啊！普通希捷7200.7 IDE硬盘！
