sound volume is 0 for normal user

Hello,

I find that when I log in with root, the sound is ok. But when I log in as a normal user, like  samton, the default volume is always 0.

I have to go the the Applicaiton->multimedia->volume control to adjust the PCM volume.  

Of course after adjusting, I can hear the voice. But why this setting cannot be kept?

Anybody has an answer to this one? Thx.

in fact, I tried the method, add user to the audio group, or change the permission of the /dev/dsp, but not working.

I can hear the sound under the normal user, but have to adjust the pcm volume.

Any hints? Thanks.

如果你使用 alsa
那么
1.
先调整音量到合适的地方

2.
然后用 root 执行
/usr/sbin/alsactl store


这样就会把调整的作为默认了
