成功安装Scim,但窗口输入有问题

these are the step upon installation of Scim:
1.)rpm -e miniChinput  -successfully done.
2.)安装以下几个包：
    scim-0.1.4-1rh8.i386.rpm -successfully done
    scim-frontend-x11-0.1.4-1rh8.i386.rpm -successfully done
    scim-config-simple-0.1.4-1rh8.i386.rpm -successfully done
    scim-server-rawcode-0.1.4-1rh8.i386.rpm -successfully done
    scim-chinese-0.1.3-6rh8.i386.rpm  -successfully done

3.)then i use the "xinput" then downloaded from http://www.gnuchina.org/~suzhe/scim/ to replace the file  "xinput" which under file:/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d.

at the first time i reboot my pc, it seem like Scim can't start at the same time. ok, later i try to start it by using "scim -c simple -d" command....scim start...but when i press ctrl+space,但没有输入窗口跳出来.

does anybody know how to solve this problem?thnkx =)
