my slack cant work with AC97 & Nvidia 2 Go

i have a slackware on my satellite 3000 laptop, but sound and vedio not

works. i need help.

For sound i was use " alsaconf ; alsamixer and alsa store" the alsamixer

not work

for nvidia driver , i install it under init 3  then use "Xorgcfg"

choose the nv card and nvidia driver but after this , i cant into X

Any error messages? Did you read Nvidia driver manual and followed the steps?

i did something like:

alsaconf
alsamixer
alsactl store

but useless

when alsamixer , system output: No mixer elems found
