ATI Redeon 9550 oc 9600, too flash

I am sorry i had not install Chinese input method success, so I write this question in English.

The type of my video card is ATI Redeon 9550, and I had rewrite it bios, to oc it to 9600.  It run well in windows and Turbo Linux 10 beta and Mandrake linux 10 Official,
but it flash heavily in Fedora Core 1 and Slackware linux 10.

I had try to solve it, but I failed. The driver which I download in the official web site is called fglrx-4.3.0-3.11.1.i386.rpm (the XF86 in Fedora Core 1 is 4.3.0 ), i cannt install it in FC1 (the reason is puzzled me), and how can i installed it in slackware linux 10 ?

By the way, the default video card in my slackware is VESA. I donnt how to solve this problem, who can help me ?

you can try rpm2tgz .....rpm then install this package using installpkg command.....
finally, you may have to change parameters in /etc/X11/xorg.conf
i'm not sure it will work, but it's just an idea......

thx, I had do as u say, the problem is solved.

steps as below :

# rpm2tgz fglrx-4.3.0-3.11.1.i386.rpm

# installpkg fglrx-4.3.0-3.11.1.i386.rpm

# vim /etc/X11/xorg.conf
   and modified driver to "fglrx".

restart,  it is okey.
