A Question on Locale

There is a problem with my X locale. Whenever I run a program under xterm, I encountered warning message 'Warning: locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C". What can I do to solve this?

it's just a warning message, or this program doesn't work?

It seems some programs can't work.
I have installed fcitx, but couldn't run it successfully until now. When I type fcitx or fcitx -nb in xterm, no errors occured; and I can see a process named 'fcitx' running by executing ps -a. But no interfaces appeared, so I can't input Chinese. I think it's because of that Warning.
There is still a display problem with kaffeine, which can't display Chinese correctly. Maybe this is also caused by that Warning.

can you post what happens after execution of command locale?

I'm sorry what do you mean by 'post'?
I got this message when run programs in xterm. There is an example below:

$ emacs &
[1] 3070
Warning: locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C


But not every program accompanied with this warning.

for me, you have to change locale setting to make these programs work........
